Do we really need a laptop at western university?

I was wondering if we are really going to be using a laptop for class at western university?
I want to make sure before i spend $1000 or more on a laptop.

Hey there futuredoc,
You definitely will be needing a laptop at Western U. They'll send out some minimum requirements for laptops if you haven't received these already so you have a better idea of what sort of specs to shop for when looking for a computer. Some other DO schools also require laptops so we're not the only ones.. and trust me, these things do come in useful for some of the classes.
