Do you know of any colleagues in medical school that transferred schools?

Hey guys,

I am a medical student that has a sister recently diagnosed with cancer and I'm her guardian. I wish to transfer to be closer to her, but transferring is rare. So I'm asking if you have any advice or success stories concerning this.

I do someone whose wife's dad was terminally ill with cancer, the wife was able to transfer from a carribean school to a state medical school (and a prestigious one at that) because her father was ill and remain there.
