My friend's boyfriend had an infection and went to the hospital and they told him it was saryngitis(sp?) Does anyone know what this is and how to spell it correctly?

pronounced SAR-EN-JI-TIS or something like that.

Never heard of sarygitis. Sure it wasn't laryngitis? Maybe if you tell us your boyfriend's symptoms we could figure it out too.
 
Well, since you're not asking anybody here to diagnose or provide an opinion (which is usually a bad idea)...

My guess: syringitis, infection/inflammation of the eustachian tube

But, you didn't give us any symptoms. Did he see the doctor because of an earache? Having that sort of info would help.

that's what I was thinking too :) Maybe a there's a little psuedohermaphrodism problem.
