HI I WANTED TO KNOW IF IT IS NECESSARY THAT THE DENTIST HAS MOVED TO THE USA TO SIT THE LICENSE EXAM WHERE ALLOWED,E.G MN STATE.

I LIVE IN UK AND MAY WANT TO MOVE TO USA IN FUTURE I AM NOT SURE,
BUT CAN I GAIN THIS LICENSE WITHOUT EMIGRATING TO THE USA

THEREFORE IF I DECIDED TO MOVE TO USA IN SAY 5 YEARS TIME I COULD BEGIN PRACTISING IMMEDIATELY

SOMEONE MIGHT SAY WAIT UNTIL TO EMIGRATE HERE, BUT I THINK THAT THE STATE BOARDS RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND I THINK LIKE OTHER STATES, MN STATE MAY CHANGE THEIR POSITION ON THIS IN FUTURE AND ASK FOR 2 YEARS TRAINING IN USA
    THANKS:thumbup:

    Hi,
I do not think that being a resident in the U.S is a requirement for license in the Mn state, you can apply from the U.K. They do require a licensure exam before they issue a license.
Please get in touch with the Mn state dental board before making any decision.
