Also how many units do you take in one semester or quater?

Yes. Mine wasn't formally called cell phys, we got a mix of it in Phys, Histo, Molecular Bio, Path, etc. All of it was 1st year.

We did take cell physiology, and the length of time depends on the curriculum. In our curriculum, cell phys was actually blended with histology, and lasted for eight weeks. I took an undergrad cell phys class, and although it may have made many of the terms I encountered seem familiar, I still had to relearn a lot of stuff.
