Hey Chivasregal where are you from?
Your list looks pretty good.
I liked Univ MS a lot, would have put U Conn much higher otherwise your list looks ok.
Did you like your interview at U Miss?, tell me your impressions
I liked the residents, the hospital kinda sucks (but apparently new one to open soon). Apparently lots of pathology.
Did you apply anywhere else in the south (ie UAB/UT Memphis/Arkansas/Emory/MedCollGA/Vandi/etc)?
Good luck

Hi corriganpulse
thank you for ur input. I really appreciate that. I liked uni. of MS because of the diversity of pathology, decent group of residents to work with, good teaching..the hospital kinda sux true but they said they will open the new hospital by this year..pay scale is low too but they increased it by $2000 per year starting from this year..no I did't interview at any of those places you mentioned but I have a friend as second year resident at MedCollGA n he says its not that good of a program because teaching is not that good and their fellowship placement is poor too..
I am not from US. Good Luck
🙂

i think allegheny general hospital is a great place to train. The teaching is excellent and the the pathology is incredibly diverse for a community hospital. The chair of medicine is very involved and was the former P.D. at the Beth Israel Deaconess and he knows everyone involved in cardiovascular research. I would consider placing it much higher but you probably won't get this post in time anyway....
