Do you think your app would get thrown in the trash for listing "Watching TV" as an activity?

Maybe not "Most Meaningful" but just imagine. Among all the volunteering and work experience, a few paragraphs about what you learned from watching HBO.

Don't do it

Oh trust me I'm not. I've just been honestly wondering what are the most "out there" things people have put on their apps before (and not in a good way)

Probably not. I listed gaming under 'Leisure Activities' in TMDSAS and have received multiple interviews, and some of my interviewers even brought it up positively.

But it's worth noting I usually back up 'gaming' with the idea that my experience with MMOs has helped me develop in to the person I am today (ex. I first learned leadership qualities at the helm of various online guilds, talking with people on voice servers helped me overcome my middle/high school shyness, etc.). Gaming is also an 'involved' hobby - you're doing something and it can potentially involve much critical thinking. I'm not really sure it would be wise to follow up watching HBO with how you formed as a person.

Additionally, if you're talking about AMCAS, you only get 15 spots. I would strongly recommend wasting a spot on something trivial; TMDSAS has no limit (as far as I am aware).

I wouldn't do it, but it can be done if you put a positive spin on it. My UG had a "TV critic club" and the president of it was pre-med. I'm sure he mentioned how much he loves television, but more as an art and digital media form with a rich history and development process, etc.

I've never heard of someone writing "watching TV" as one of their activities per se, but I have heard of other similar activities from some of my classmates such as reading fiction, collecting, and casino gambling. So long as whatever you write is phrased appropriately, I don't think anything is necessarily off-limits or damaging to your application. You are trying to get the committee to know your personality too. Hobbies such as these may help you in this way.

Just got my comp cape 1 week ago, would've invited you to my house party to celebrate @Yanille portal whatsgddd
Yea I haven't seriously played the game since... '13? All I have left are some useless (see: F2P) runes and mage gear, a single Santa hat (at one point I had three), and like 10M.

You can get your application thrown in the trash without listing tv as your favorite activity.

Nope I still try to pop on around Christmas to pass out phr33 st00f to nubs but these days they don't want full iron or full steel; they want GEEPEEs. Ingrates, the lot of them.
