Does Anyone Feel That Kaplan VR Is More Similar to AAMC Than TPR VR?

So, I am retaking the MCAT in September and have done some Kaplan and TPR VR so far. I've done the TPR ICC VR...on these passages, I try to use the main idea, but to no avail. However, when I try to use the main idea on Kaplan VR (The ones from 2003 and 2004), I do a bit better. I feel like TPR stresses details, while Kaplan is more main idea oriented. Any opinions on this?
