Does anyone holding a foreign specialty currently practice in the U.S. as a general dentist?

Hi, i’m just curious if there are any dentists currently practicing in the U.S. who have a foreign specialty title (whether it be O.S./ortho/peds/perio, etc.) that are practicing as a General dentist in the states?
How has it worked out regarding finding positions where you can do what you were trained to do? Has it been easy/challenging? Any thoughts in general would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I work in a health center, so most of my patients have medicaid, of which essentially no specialists accept in my area. When I have to refer out for complex 3rd molars (and accepts medicaid), I refer to a doc who was an OS in South America before coming to the US, he essentially just limits his practice to oral surgery. He seems to be doing pretty well for himself. Though, it may be tough to get an "oral surgery" position as an associate if you don't have the credentials from the US, but likely good networking and who you know can help that. I'm pretty sure the "Extraction" doctor at one of the local corps is not an Oral Surgeon.

I have a friend he was MaxiloF.S in his country and in U.S he did an IDP. Legally he is G.D, but he usually do a lot of surgeries in his office, 3rd molars, impacted teeth, implants...oral surgery.... but nothing too complicated.
