Does Baylor Require purchase of a laptop for D school?

Underdawg- have you decided on attending Baylor? Congrats with whatever you decide.

To answer your question. . . No they do not require a laptop but do require a working computer at the place you are staying. They said the computer can be old and does not even need internet access.

Baylor does offer, along with all Texas schools, a one time computer purchase that can be factored into your loan amount. If you are going to Baylor you might want to consider this because the four or five computers in their library look like they are windows 95 or something old.

I do not believe that Baylor offers wireless internet.

Congrats on your decision! I would buy something considering the computers are very limited in the library. I don't believe they have wireless internet. That is all I know about their computer systems.

I was told that you can buy a computer, one time, up to $1,700, and factor it into your loans. All Texas schools do this.

I would wait until you start the school to see what they recommend in regards to picking a specific computer.

I was also told that good housing at Baylor is very limited. I would start this process, after you have sent in your deposit.

helloKITTYrox- I have no idea how they came up with the number $1700. Laptops are like $600. I think you are correct, $1700 would buy a super computer.

The school computers at Baylor are terrible and there are only like 4 of them. I don't even know if they have printers to print stuff before class, like in undergrad. Students don't use the library to study.

I personally would spend less and buy a printer with plenty of ink.
