If your husband were a professor, I imagine you'd know the answer to this question ;)

Moving to 2009-2010 School Specific Discussions.

If your husband/father/mother/randomfamilymember is a professor, call and give it a shot. I know they are really strict on OOSes if you have no ties to the school.

not married,
he's not in school of medicine or even new orleans.
new professor, junior faculty in the sciences in baton rouge. tenure track.
we both thought it's not problem at all, but i just realized it seems LSU med school doesn't take out states unless they are kids of alums of the med school.
tsk tsk... eh.. hopefully he is not going to be in baton rouge for the rest of his life.
our relationship is going to be problematic if we manage to live in different states for eternity.

No problem. Tulane is a good other option, but the price is $$$$$ compared to LSU.

So he teaches at the LSU in Baton Rouge? Yeah, I doubt that will get you anywhere with LSU-S and LSU-NO. LSU-S is extremely strict. You won't even get a secondary if you don't have LA residence. LSU-NO lets in med school alums' kids. That's it. Sorry. Hope for the best with Tulane. It's really not that far of a drive from BR to NO.
