Settle a pointless bet, s'il vous plait: Typically, does peds nsg or peds CT surg have sicker patients? And in which field do patients tend to improve more after surgery?

Peds neurosurg. Can't speak for CV surgery but I'd guess that our elective patients (filum sections, craniosynostosis, etc.) are in general healthier than elective CV patients...we get our fair share of sick patients too though (recently threw in an EVD on a ruptured AVM kid while anesthesia did CPR).
