Hi everyone,

I got a very specific question regarding whether to list a Reply Letter as a publication.

I published a paper in a peer-reviewed journal recently and someone wrote a "Correspondence" commenting on my publication. I then wrote a short response letter which was subsequently published and had its own pubmed ID. Can I list both my original paper and the response letter under Publications on ERAS?

Thank you!

Yup. It won't have the same weight, but especially if it's in Pubmed, it counts.

Guessing a Correspondence i.e Letter to the Editor on an article that gets published in a pubmed journal carries similar weight?

A poster at a "conference" at your school of research by medical students counts as a publication in ERAS. You absolutely list both but no, the response won't carry the same weight as the publication itself. It will certainly carry a lot more weight than a poster at a "conference" at your school of research by medical students.
