As many medical schools specifically require a LOR from a science professor, I asked one of my Bio professors to write me a LOR and he happily agreed.

The issues is this is not a typical Bio course. This was a 2-credit course I took for two semester (4 credits total) in which students were trained to be SI instructors for the main Introductory Bio class. Although we reviewed Intro Bio material each week there were no exams, quizes, etc. This was essentially more of a "SI intructor" class than a "Bio" class.

However, the class was titled "BIO 2X1 & BIO 2X2" and the professor's official university title is "Research Assistant Professor".

My question is basically, is this professor still technically a "Bio" instructor and does this LOR satisfy the requirement of LOR friend a science professor?
Technically, he counts. Did you actually take a course that he was the instructor of record on?
