So I've recently made a reattempt to learn an instrument. I use to play the piano but stopped 6 years ago. Around that time period, I tried to learn the violin but stopped. Now I just started to learn it again, is it okay to count that? What about the piano?

I am putting all of my musical endeavors under one heading.
I'm doing the same with my athletic endeavors.

It might be a good idea to do it that way...

You can put any hobby you want on your application. Almost half my activities are hobbies. If you only put down the usual premed stuff, you will look like everyone else. Put things down that will distinguish from the pack.

i put down "music" as an activity and listed all my musical stuff under it =)

really depends on how much time, i'd say. if its 1hr a week, dont bother, bc they'll ask you about it, but if its a significant part of your life, then definitely include it
