I will be sophmore in pre-med in couple of months now ...I'm at CC right now...I'm planning to transfer to University. I hve couple of choices but I want to know if university makes different when u apply to Medical School. I mean ..if u r 4.0 from U of M and 4.0 from some other less competetive university. Does it make big difference!!

    or third...

But seriously, I suspect your odds of acceptance are better doing well at a 4 year university than a CC. (Different med schools will have different opinions on CC credits.)

No, it won't make a huge difference. You can get in to some pretty amazing medical schools from some pretty mediocre undergrad universities, assuming you have a very strong MCAT and very strong GPA.

I'd hope for that 4.0 at U of M (and hope that M stands for Michigan) and perhaps 15s on physical and bio. I hear a 4.0 and a 34 makes for a solid application.

Somehow I think we've seen this writing style and inappropriate use of capitalization and IM abbreviations before...

Some schools (some ivys) might care, but most don't. I go to a very small (1,800 students) school in Alabama and we had 2 students that were accepted into Mayo Clinic Medical School (they only have like 30 people in their class so its pretty selective). The point is that (despite what many people want to believe) a high GPA and a good MCAT (the great equalizer) and good ECs (ones you are passionate about) will get you into many good medical schools.

The "S" was for more than one 15... plural, not for the essay score...

You seem to be pretty knowledgable for having joined last month (in not just this thread but others). Are you a reincarnated member? (PM is okay.)

OP, "what are my chances" threads are referred to in the sticky. All applications start with the MCAT score.

This is the best comeback I've seen in a while. I don't think the OP got it. Maybe he's also bad at math.
