Does the PS have to concern specifically WHY you want to become a dentist concerning teeth? Is there anyone who DIDN't write about dentistry specifics at all?

I really don't want to be an idiot and start talking about "everything I know about teeth and etc etc thats why I want to become a dentist etc..." I really didn't want to speak much about dentistry overall. But I guess I have to, correct?

Is the personal statement just for the purpose of explaining WHY you chose dentistry? (or just a statement letting the schools to get to know you a bit more?)

I did not say anything like... "I want to be a dentist because I like teeth."

I talked more about how I came to be interested in dentistry and how finding a focus has changed my life, which I can say.... truly has.

here is the prompt:

Your Personal Statement should address why you desire to pursue a dental education and how a dental degree contributes to your personal and professional goals.

this should be addressed w/ ur style of writing..

you could write about something else that is important in your life and tie it in with dentistry... like i know someone who wrote about dancing and he managed to tie in his experiences as a dancer to his desire to pursue dentistry
