I wouldn't worry about getting an Arts degree, however, it gives you less wiggle room for sciences. You must ACE all of your sciences because one poor grade will significantly drop you sGPA. In addition, I would consider taking some upper level Biology classes at the University you transfer into to show you can handle the rigor of an upper level science class. I don't think it would hurt you too bad to take the pre-reqs at a CC. It isn't the ideal way to do things, but a strong GPA at your University will counteract that to an extent.
