I just wanted to write words of hope and encouragement for all of you waiting for medical school invites/acceptances.

I JUST GOT INTO MED SCHOOL TODAY with just 1 INVITE!!!

Then right after I got the acceptance letter email from Mizzou I received an email interview invite for Michigian State for March 15! My second interview invite in 7 months!

It is crazy because honestly I had already accepted the fact that I made too many mistakes this year applying and would have to do it again. I even paid and already enrolled in an MCAT class to try to rock the MCAT in April and was studying like crazy for the past two weeks.

I know exactly what you are feeling if you have been depressed, frustrated, angry, regretful in the past couple months as I too have opened rejection letter after rejection letter.

Yet in the end it is true and you must believe that everything happens for a reason and if you are meant to be a doctor, it will happen.

Becoming a doctor is about hard work and persistance and not to me about being smart necessarily. If you have a passionate desire to serve as a physician, it will happen for you...perhaps just not the way you ever expected or planned for... 🙂

This process has been so humbling and formative to me because of how much I questioned so many little decisions/"mistakes" and "should-haves" and "could-haves" but in the end, you cannot regret anything you have done because you wouldn't be able to sit here and contemplate why and what you've learned and changed without them.

I guess I just wanted to write to say good luck and keep your head up!
