I interviewed at Suny Downstate in the beginning of January. Recently I received a letter stating that I was placed in the "hold for decision category" and my app would be reviewed again before April.

I am curious if anyone else received such a letter and what their impression of it is. Has anyone received an acceptance following receipt of this letter?

I appreciate any input that you may have.

I got the same letter...what i do know is that it means that they haven't decided yet whether to waitlist, accept or reject us..what i don't know is the likelihood of any of those...so if anyone has any idea or experience with this, it'd be great to hear about chances now

I was just accepted into Downstate. I was really upset because the "Second Look at Downstate" program was cancelled due to this weeks snow storm. It would be cool to meet some of my future classmates, so if any of you are out there put up a post and say hello.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I am in the same boat. I was interviewed in Jan. and placed on the 'Hold for final review' list. And like you am wondering what exactly this means for the future.

My interview was on 2/21 and they wait-listed me on 3/14. According to the letter, the class has already filled.

Does anyone know if their waiting list is ranked? :confused

I had my interview at SUNY Downstate at the end of November (right after Thanksgiving). I was accepted at the end of February.
