Hi, Dra. Foxy,
Thanks for posting your question about the waitlist at Boston University to Gower on medicalgold. Surely if the unranked waitlist is developed mid-May, that means they will acccept more people before that point? What do you think?

Nope, i think they will just reject people by that point. Then again, if anyone withdraws before then, I'm sure they will hand out more acceptances. But as of now, I'm sure they have offered the same number as they have seats for. I have no idea what to expect, except I haven't heard of anyone being rejected post interview, and they interview 1,000 people. It has to happen sometime, right?

I'm going to post what Gower said for everyone to see:
•••quote:••• Your interviewer is your advocate during committee deliberations.

Unranked wait-list usually developed mid-May. Calls will only elicit the size of the wait-list. Submit any additional pertinent information.

In 2000, 20 students were accepted from the wait-list after June 15, the majority during July, August. A call from the advisor is especially appreciated concerning a highly desirable candidate who is seriously interested in BU and has been overlooked. [DON'T ask your advisor to do this unless you intend to go to BU. If the advisor does and you don't, your advisor will never do it again for anyone from your college and the advisor's credibility has been damaged].
