Hello,

I was just looking for a brief assessment of where I stand as an applicant, get your opinion on what to expect, and maybe prepare myself ahead of time for the outcome of this application cycle since it's my 3rd time applying.

Academic record: Neuroscience BS in '15 from a Top 10, Medical Physiology MS in '17 from a Top 40

Cumulative GPA: summed across my whole education is ~3.31 (in terms of total credits) but I had many rough patches throughout undergrad that bottomed out during junior year (2.64) and improved drastically since then with maintenance of a 4.0 throughout 2 years of my master's degree (see image of GPA trend in picture at bottom [red is exact numbers, black is trend, "post-bac" should be "grad"])

Science GPA: same story as above, overall is ~3.29

MCAT scores: 34:12/11/11 (taken 8/2013), 523:131/129/132/131 (taken 1/2017)

Other scores: 95th percentile nationwide on NBME shelf exam in physiology/neurophysiology

Social background: Korean male, non-disadvantaged, Californian resident

Research: 1200hrs in basic research with a publication as 2nd author, 350hrs in clinical research

Volunteering (clinical): 270hrs rotating on a neurology service, 110hrs as neurorehabilitation intern, 1200hrs as a medical technician at a free clinic

Volunteering (non-clinical): 300hrs as a veterinary clinical assistant, 300hrs tutoring in physiology and MCAT

Physician shadowing: 84hrs in trauma surgery night call, 48hrs on emergency medical transport on helicopter, 28hrs at trauma clinic (day), 28hrs in emergency medicine, 17hrs in general surgery (205hrs total)

Extracurricular activities: 1000hrs as leadership in KASA (Korean American Student Association), 2500hrs as leadership in church, significant music experiences (~16 years and 7 instruments), volleyball, artistic hobbies

Employment history: 900hrs as paid violinist (accompanist)

Other notes: my subpar undergrad performance is addressed briefly in my PS and expanded upon accordingly in my secondaries

School list: Albany, BU, CA Northstate, Case Western, Columbia, Creighton, UCLA, Drexel, Duke, Dartmouth, George Washington, Georgetown, Mt. Sinai, Hopkins, Keck at USC, Loma Linda, Mayo (MN), NYU, Northwestern, Rush, St. Louis, Stanford, Tufts, Tulane, UCSD, UCSF, UC Davis, UCI, UC Riverside, Brown, WashU St. Louis, Cornell, Yale
