Any other suggestions. Anything that I could download and use on my personal computer rather than being restricted to the schools comps. When I'm at school I can use ChemSketch on the PCs but I'm looking for a similar program that I can use on my mac.
I would also suggest ChemDraw. I have a Mac and was able to get it for free on my computer through my college. If that's not an option, I'd suggest XDrawChem, which is freeware and can read ChemDraw files, and works in much the same way.
I know I'm reviving this thread but I was wondering if anybody had used MarvinSketch... I'm trying to find a free chemistry sketching program to download to my mac. Any recommendations?
Is there any way to save the actual image and not the entire white background that goes with it? Because when I add it to Anki, I have a small molecule and it's hard to type txt directly underneath it.
Tried that. What I'm trying to say is that it saves the entire image and I'm unable to type directly underneath. When it pops up in Anki, it's a pretty big image, with a lot of white space and the molecule.
