Our school is big on mechanisms; it's totally obsessed with mechanisms. Each week we have to draw out the entire mechanism for the case-of-the-week linking all the signs/symptoms/lab results/findings from physical exam, etc. We even have to draw out a bunch of mechanisms in the final exam in addition to the typical MCQs and SAQs (SAQ typically takes one whole page to answer for each question).

Just wondering if you guys are doing similar things?

I find it very difficult to draw out a satisfactory mechanism, not to mention having to draw them under exam condition. Maybe I'm just not cut out for medicine... :(
