For those of you who completed the secondary, did anyone cut and paste it? I asked the admissions office and they said it would be fine even though the application says do not attach additional papers.

hello,

i typed mine, but if the office said you could do it, then i would go for it. by additional papers i think that they were refering to other essays or things of that nature. as long as you keep as neat as you can i think you will be fine.

I asked the office the same thing and they said it was more than OK as long as you don't exceed the spaces provided. So, I cut and pasted mine.

Don't worry!

I typed mine and sent it about 2 weeks ago and have not received that little postcard that says it has been completed. Has any of you? what about interviews there?

How jacked up is it that I haven't heard anything about a 2dary yet? I've got a 35Q on the August MCATs, but that's about it for my app. What does this mean?! I called and they were saying that there distributing 2daries for another month, but I'm not sure if I buy it. Whady'all think? It sounds like you guys got 'em a while ago. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I don't know why I would have received a secondary before you. Maybe they do group send outs, although I took the august MCAT I also took it in April so maybe that's why.

Nah, my grades as an undegrad at the University of Washington were up and down like an EKG. I think a lot of adcoms would be concerned, but I had some wacky personal stuff to explain it, but I'm sure they still think about it.

I go all different ways on thinking what is a better indicator of how well YOU WILL perform in med school. I think a good MCAT tells you that you can perform well, but maybe not that you will. Grades tell you that you have the ethic to make it, but not necessarily the perfect tools to get through the testing. It's weird. I do think they are both good assessors, but I guess I lean towards the MCAT. Just my thinking.

hey triangulation,

i'd give them a call about the secondary, you have a great mcat score, and i also tend to believe that the mcat can pull people through. does your application show that you have worked with or in underserved areas at all? this school is really up front with that and they are really big with selecting as many minority applicants as they can, which is really cool, but it might hinder someone if they don't have a much of connection to minority populations at some point in time.

anyhow, when did you go to the "u". i just graduated from there too, this past june. i was on an exchange program in ecuador all last school year though. are you applying to udub som? best of luck.

Hey jdub! That's too weird. You've even got my nickname. I finished their in 1998. I haven't heard anything from the U-Dub on a 2dary either. I keep going to their status check, but it says all of this stuff about how they still haven't received 2dary from me. I found out after calling their ad office that this doesn't mean anything yet and that out-of-staters (yeah, I'm a lame-ass and never got residency.)

Back to Drew, did they say anything about a final deadline for 2daries? I'm planning on practicing w/the underserved so I'm really into their program.

just wanted to bump this topic up to see how many of you peeps are getting responses from this school....

i am not sure what the final date for the drew secondary is. i imagine that it is coming up soon, or within a month or so.

they move along at a pretty slow pace though, so it seems like one can be a little more relaxed with the deadlines, but i am not sure how many applications they recieve for their 24 spots, so i would try to get your secondary in as quick as possible.

i still haven't gotten anything after turning in their secondary, but over on interviewfeedback.com it looks like poeple don't usually hear about an interview until january. but who really knows?

as far as an out of stater for U-dub, i won't sweat it much, they don't give much love to out of staters, unless you are going for their md/phd program.

hey would somebody post the questions from the drew/ucla secondary? i'm at home on vacation and left my secondary at school...

also, if i remember correctly the deadline is jan. 31st.

ok bye!

does anyone know if UCLA/DREW is already interviewing?
