Drexel Med 2nd Visit Day

Hi everyone,

I wasn't able to go to the second vist day yesterday at Drexel. I am still really interested in the school and if I do end up going there (prob about 80%) I'm going to be doing the PIL program. Also, I'm graduating this may and am kind of concerned about being a "younger student."

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the day and what they liked/didn't like about the school, students, faculty etc. Did you get to see the hospital? Any one go out to the clubs with the students?

Any info would be helpful and I would love to hear from potential future classmates.

Look at the class sub-category in the allo forum. They were discussing the 2nd look day, and i'm sure they'll have feedback in the days to come.

I went to the Second Look at Drexel. Personally, I didn't learn anything new from what I learned at my interview day, except for the PIL session. We were actually broken into small groups and had "sample" PIL sessions with Drexel students, which was so much fun I am considering choosing PIL curriculum - I loved it! Besides the PIL session, the financial aid and IT sessions were not very informative, as we were pressed for time - all the stuff they talked about can easily be found on their website, in great detail. I did not attend the tour of Queen Lane campus, as it included exactly the same sites as the interview tour - there was no tour of the hospital or housing. Lunch with accepted and current Drexel students was fun, and the student panel discussion, where we could ask Drexel students questions was informative, but nothing really new for me, personally. There was also an opportunity to hang out with Drexel students at a bar-lounge later on, which I did not do - someone else who went may give more info about it.

I went to 2nd look as well. The day was kind of long and some what informative. I didn't learn that much new info. I did learn that drexel is going to be very expensive, b/c of the new name there is n't much support from the alumni who graduated from haneman. Faculty and staff were very friendly and students seemed pretty happy. The area surrounding the school is a little shady. gl with ur decisions 👍
