I have my UNECOM interview on 12/5, and i'm driving up there from NY.
Is this a bad idea? Are the weather conditions going to suck or what?

ah, the Maine winter stories...

I went to school in Albany, but returned home to central Maine for breaks - it's impossible to tell what the driving conditions are going to be. For the most part, highways are kept clear, and it's a pretty safe bet that if you can't drive here due to a storm it's going to be impossible to fly in or take the train.

I found that the weather here is similar to that of NY - though at school we'd get the weather systems a day or two ahead of my family here. I'd say check the Farmer's almanac if you're looking for a long term forecast, but overall you should be fine. Watch the weather and allow more time if you need to, and if you get stuck I hear they are good about moving the interview.
