Dropped Classes

I recently played around with my schedule in order to switch
classes (before getting a W). However, a "dropped" will appear
on the academic record for 3 classes (I switched to 3 different
ones). I did not realize this would happen within the one week
window. Will this somehow affect my chances? I am still full time
student with 16 cr hours.

That's strange that it would show up on your transcript if done within the drop/add window... make sure you talk to the registrar about it. I doubt that it'll be an issue for you either way though, if you still have 16 hrs after dropping 3 classes, it's obvious you weren't slacking off mid semester.

If it doesn't appear on your official school transcript, it will not affect your chances.

don't make a habit out of the "dropped" marks on your transcript.

Are you sure that it will show up on your transcript?? Most dropped classes just disappear like you never enrolled in them in the first place.

Do they read school transcripts? or do they just look at the amcas grade summaries

At my school we get a W if we drop the first day or half way through the semester (drop deadline).

If that shows up on your transcript as Ws, then you should appeal to have those removed.

Wow, what school do you go to Brett? That's harsh. I think we get like 5 weeks (1/3 semester). But first day or week? wow.
