I'm working on a biology lab and I'm confused as how to calculate/predict the F2 generation. Below is an example provided of how the F2 generation was calculated but I'm not sure how to get the fractions for each gender. For example, I did a dihybrid cross and got 1/2 of the males are wildtype for both traits but I don't know how they got "1/2 x 3/4 = 3/8".
(Scalloped wing was determined to be sex-linked recessive while lobed eyes were autosomal recessive.)
