Dual Degree Programs (Choosing on Application vs. Not Choosing)

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any insight about the specifying interest in dual degree programs on secondary applications (NYU's secondary application asks about it). Personally I've been considering getting a MD/MBA or an MD/MPH, but I'm still uncertain. What happens if I choose vs. not choose? Is it more for gauging interest?

Most of those type of programs you can opt into at a later date with the exception of md/Phd or nyu’s “3 year pathway”.

It is school specific.

Its school specific and most programs allow you to transfer in as an MS 1 or MS 2.
