Anyone else ever have this problem? I have no problem logging into my e-mcat account from home, and up until yesterday I could log into it from work without any problem. However, yesterday when I tried to log in I got hit with a page simply saying "security validation failed", although eventually I was able to log in, and when I got home later that night I had no problem logging in at all. Today I'm getting the same thing again, except now it seems like this error is here to stay.

Anyone know what's going on? I can't find any information about what this error means anywhere.

When I had the problem I usually just solved it by logging in and out since that usually means that you've been on a page too long and you need to resubmit your information. If that doesn't work then maybe it's because a lot of people are doing last minute review for the June 21 test.

Hit "LOGOUT" and then log back in. If that still doesn't work, logout again, clear your cache, and log in. You'll be fine. :)

Couldn't clear it because I think the IT department locked that function in my browser, but luckily there's two browsers on this computer and switching to the other one let me log-in. Thanks!

Whenever this happens to me I usually just click on the 'Forgot Password' button and allow them to send me a reply e-mail. For some reason the security warning goes away after this. :)

OP - I had the exact same problem, and this is exactly how I fixed it. Worked every time.

As some of you said, it really is a junk website, but here's what you can do about it:
(without password resets, browser flushing, or any other prostrating and time-wasting efforts)

What's Happening:

<Insert Technical Explanation about Authentication Protocol and Website Design>
The result is that the website does not function well if you do not consciously click Logout when you're done for the day.

The Fix:
When you're finished working, go to your browser's URL bar and find the cmd= portion
e.g.
http://www.e-mcat.com/starttest.aspx?cmd=login
https://www.e-mcat.com/starttest.aspx?cmd=home
http://e-mcat.com/starttest.aspx?cmd=login&checkclient=true

1.) Delete Everything after cmd= and type logout and hit enter
* It should return you to the main web page
2.) Login as normal

Preventing The Problem:

3.) See 1 above
or
4.) Click Sign Out in the top right corner of the web page
or
5.) Add https://www.e-mcat.com/starttest.aspx?cmd=logout to a bookmark. Click it every day when you're done or have the problem.

I was never able to log in on chrome from a PC -- had to switch to firefox every time I wanted to take a practice test.

Bravo! This works! Thank you Senatore!
