Ok, just wanted some opinions. I am doing a post-bacc at LECOM this fall, but I am also applying to D.O. schools for the first time throught he regular application process. I graduated, and my pre-requisites are all done except for 2 Physics labs (and Orgo lab), which I am taking now(summer semester). Here is the question. Currently, my overall GPA is 3.35 and my science comes out, by my calculation, to be 2.99 ( I classified 2 of my psychology-abnormal and research- classes as science, which brings it up to 3.1, but I do not know if AACOMAS is going to accept those as science or not-how does that work with them?). However, if I wait until July, when this first Physics lab is done and the grade is posted, it (BCP) will by 3.0 or right around there. So, is it better to send my AACOMAS stuff in right away in early June, or wait until mid July and have that GPA up to 3.0. I mean, it really is not much difference technically, but I am concerned that the difference between a 2.99 and a 3.001 might look a lot bigger to adcoms than it really is. What are your thoughts? Very early app, or 3.001 science gpa.

As far as I've read, sending your application in July is still considered on the "earlier" side of things. If I were you I'd wait till I got that 3.0. Even though it's only .01 difference, it LOOKs a lot different.

What you should do is get everything ready to go (send them your current transcripts) so that you can shoot out your application as soon as you finish your class and you send them an updated transcript.

Best of luck!

people, send in your transcripts NOW. ASAP. even if you dont want to apply until august. they will just hold onto them until they can match it up to an application. send them twice even. they have a knack for misplacing them. you can always update your transcripts directly with the schools you applied to. AACOMAS just needs one copy of your transcript to begin the processing.
