Really evaluate why you want to apply early. It most likely won't increase your chances of getting in at all. Furthermore, it makes your applications later at other schools, which can make a difference. You find out October 1st ED but I got my first acceptance mid October applying regular. A lot of schools are rolling so you can get an acceptance early in the year.
Finally, you know what, I don't know if knowing that early in the year was so good! It has just made me apathetic on my school work and not so motivated
