All things being equal, what kind of statistical advantage does an applicant get if he/she applies ED?

At Yale College, the difference between ED and RD is about 17% versus 5% AR. Obviously at the med school level, it's a negligible advantage, but what kind of boost are we talking about here?

From my own research and from what I've seen posted here, it's entirely school dependent and thus it's difficult to answer your question. Some schools are much more selective with their ED applicants, accepting only a few and kicking the rest to the regular applicant pool, while others do seem to give a slight advantage.
