Kaplan says that for gag reflex: ipsilateral CN IX(afferent arm), bilateral CN X(efferent arm)

First Aid says: CN IX(afferent arm), CN IX and X(efferent arm)

I mean if you consider the salpingopharyngeus and the pharyngeal plexus to the constrictor muscles as part of the gag reflex, then it'd be both IX and X.

CN IX should innervate STYLOpharyngeus and the Pharyngeal plexus, which then innervates the constrictors. However, I have always heard that CN IX only innervates Stylopharyngeus, which then makes CN X the chief source of the motor innervation to the pharyngeal plexus.
