hey everyone, i just came back from being out of the country for three months. i got waitlisted at einstein in january and then i got a rejection letter recently?? did this happen to anyone else as well?

I thought once you're actually waitlisted, you don't get rejected until the end of the cycle, like in august when the movement from the list is complete.. I thought it was only if, e.g. you're on HOLD that you might get a rejection earlier.

Were you supposed to send something back to maintain your position on the WL? Because maybe you can undo the damage if you call them?

I interviewed at Einstein in December, and I've been told by the admissions office that they are still processing my application. I have no idea what is going on at that school.

Take a look at the "einstein countdown" thread. It looks like the same thing happened to several other people. On the Einstein website, it says that they originally waitlist 400 people, then cut the number to 200 sometime in May. 🙁 Sorry. Hopefully you're already in someplace else that you like.

thanks , that thread explains it ... oh well i have gotten in elsewhere but ny would have been a good option ! but still have otehr waitlists to hope for!
