If you look at nova there are examples within the chapters and almost stand alone questions at the end of chapter, before the passage style questions at the end of each chapter.
I have been going through and really looking at their figures and working the questions in the chapter and the end of each chapter, excluding the passages. After I have done each chapter like this I will go on and work through EK 1001. Then I plan on doing each passage in the end of NOVA's chapters timed.
Then, I will start the Kap, TPR, and AAMC practice tests!
If you need one or the other go with NOVA. Doing both won't hurt as long as you really focus on the passage style questions in NOVA, I think. Good luck!
