In the EK 101 Verbal book - pg. 9 #25, I've seen many questions like these...It's always been hard for me to judge these questions with choices of
A. Increase probability
B. Decrease probability
C. ...
D. Reveals nothing about probability...
The reasoning for this question is that the underlying example is very different from the passage example (telephone rates largely increase instead of healthcare spending slightly different). Thus this question (#25) reveals nothing.
Any strategies/suggestions on how to approach this type of question? Would it have been easier to have arrived by elimination? Or would it have been safe to have arrived by directly seeing the weak connection between the telephone example and the healthcare example?
