What do you guys think of the EK Chemistry book? I am using Ek the AAMC and TPR practice tests to study. I ve heard negative things about the EK Chemistry books, I am using I have the 6th Edition. I would really like to know everyone's opinion on the EK Chemistry book in general. I alos bought the chemistry 1001 book.

Their Chem subject book was great! It hit on all the topics on the real deal. The difficulty of the 30-minute tests makes what you'll see in April a joke. I highly recommend it.

Ek 1001 Chem... umm, don't invest too much time on those questions. They only seem useful if you have a weak background in the subject or if you took the course years ago.

Hey Im retaking the mcat and I used EK materials. EK has been good stuff. Did Decently, but I am trying to get into the MSTP program so I need to increase my verbal score, but I did score a 14 on PS with EK

The book is great but could use a little more fleshing out in Electrochemistry(a nicely written chapter though) and Acid-Base Chemistry. Those sections could have just used a couple more examples but the books are not set up that way.
