So I have an elective possibly two to use at the end of this year, and I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on things I should take? I have completed all my cores already and have a trauma surgery rotation set up in March, but I have another two elective spots that I am unsure of what to do with. Should I stick within surgical subspecialties such as vascular, plastics, etc or should I try and broaden my overall understanding of medicine with electives in IM subspecialties such as hem/onc, GI, cardio, etc. I have also thought about maybe doing an ICU rotation, Anesth, or Radiology (this I think could be very helpful). Kind of unsure what to do so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!
