Hello
I have run into another problem with electro chem. I was wondering if the measure in non PV work- G=-RTln(K) is the same as G=-RTln(products/Reactants). Is K the equilibrium constant. Is that also the same for the reaction Q.

K is the equilibrium constant, yes.
when you use Q, the equation is: dG = dGº + RTlnQ where dGº=-RTlnK

So the Q in G=-RTlnQ is just non equilbrium, where the reaction is proceeding. However at any givin point while the reaction occurs we could possible freeze the reaction theoretically (?) and measure the G at some period in the reaction before equilbrium is achieved?

Is this correct.
