EM in S California... program advice!

Hello, all,

I am looking at EM residency programs such as the UCI program, Drew, Loma Linda, etc.. the three year programs in particular. I would like to rotate through one of these programs in June in order to give myself an edge in the application process (i'm a current MIII), as well as to better determine fit, but am having a hard time determining which one would be more suitable.

Is anyone out there in one of these programs, or has anyone rotated (or have any knowledge about them at all)? Any comment would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Talk to the EM attendings and residents at your school. EM is a small community and just about everyone knows everyone else. 4th years on the interview trail are an excellent resource. They might be able to give you some scoop on the programs they've seen or heard about while interviewing
