I took the MCAT last August and a couple days before the scores were ready, they sent us an email with the date that they would be avail. on line to check.
i retook it this April and havent received an email yet -- i just wanted to check, did anyone take the test last April [2003], and did you get an email notification with a date? Was that an august testing thing, was it due to the whole blackout thing, or do they usually do that and we just havent heard yet??

I was wondering about that too. I've heard from several people who took it last August that they received an email a few days (a week?) before the scores were posted online.

What's the deal? Why haven't we received an email?

They did close up shop on June 11th due for Ronald Reagan's funeral...

I think the aug. results were in around the 14th? and i think i got the email maybe the 8th? so i would have thought that we would have heard prior to the ronnie-intervention.... also, the results are coming out of the test center in iowa, no?

my friend got an email too but i didn't get one. I think it might be because she hadn't registered for the THX system yet but I don't know. Maybe AAMC just doesn't like me 😱

Or the low scorers so that they don't have a heart attack when checking. 😉

LOL! I didn't get an email, but for those who did - did the email specify a time, or did it just say "June 15th"?

I took the 03 MCAT, and no, there was no e-mail notification.

I took the Aug. 03 test and I did not get an email concerning the score release, though I know people who did. So I'm not expecting one this time either and I'm not going to try to figure why, because nothing these people do makes any sense!!!

No email here either!

I know this is slightly off on a tangent as we are talking about e-mails from AAMC, but I've heard that if you get a really high score that you will get recruited by schools (I'm not worried about this for myself 🙂 )

Is this true or just an urban pre-med legend?

The following email was sent to my Pre-Med advisor and she forwarded it to everyone. I jsut want to know which time zone???
MCAT SCORES

Scores from the April 2004 MCAT administration will be available online

Tuesday, June 15th, at approximately 9:00 am.

Scores will be available to examinees through the MCAT Testing History

(THx): https://services.aamc.org/mcatthx . Please note the following:

* We suggest that examinees pre-register for an AAMC login on the THx

system. Please note that the AAMC login is separate from the login they

created to register for the MCAT). Registration is expected to be

especially slow after the score release, for at least 2 to 3 days.

Pre-registering will help examinees access the system more quickly the day

the scores are released.

* An examinee who has already begun an AMCAS application, or has taken the

MCAT prior to 2004 already has an AAMC login and should not try to get a

new one for the score release. Attempting to get a duplicate AAMC ID may

result in delays in providing the MCAT scores to medical schools.

* The longest delays are expected immediately following the score release.

We understand students are very eager to know their scores, but we strongly

encourage them to wait to access their scores later in the week, if

possible, when the on-line wait time is expected to decrease.

* Scores also will be sent via regular mail beginning June 15, so examinees

will receive a paper copy soon after the release.

* Examinees with questions about score retrieval may contact us at

[email protected], or (202) 828-0690. We have extended our business hours to 7

pm through November.

Thank you!
