Im interested in Emergency Medicine and getting ready to start my clinical training in a couple of months. UHS only allows for 4 months of elective rotations if you remain in KC. Does anyone have any ideas as to what elective rotations are most desirable if your planning on a career in EM? Should I do an EM special emphasis internship? What is the competition like for DO EM slots. I feel as if I'm a fairly competitive applicant at this point (top 15% in the class, lots of medical related work experience that will help with rotations, extra curriculars...) but I don't know what programs seek out of the applicant pool. Any ideas would be appreciated!
