First post on these forums. Long story short: I'm a special-forces 'wannabe' that found a love for medicine.
Originally I was en route to become an 18X (Delta preferably) after completing college (want to finish because of basketball). But the idea of being an MD while doing something similar really floats my boat.
My question to you guys is: Is there a route or MOS where I could be placed in a similar role as an 18D after going the HSPS path or is a CSH unit as close as I can get?
Also, what are the chances I can get into a deployed unit if I WANT to do so?
Any words of wisdom from experience are welcome.
