Emergency physicians who were involved in EMS

I'm just wondering if those people who were EMTs/paramedics before med school ended up pursuing emergency medicine?

There are many who do and many who don't. Some ER docs were EMTs/paramedics and still volunteer their time as EMTs.

You should try posting in the emergency medicine forum. It's pretty active and most of them won't bite.

There are a few in the ED. I think its a valuable experience. Every future physician should have experience working somewhere in the medical field before becoming docs.
