Hey-
I was just at Emory a couple of weeks ago and they said that their next batch of acceptance letters would be going out on Jan 14. Is anyone else also waiting for this letter? I think it would be nice if someone gets one, they could post it under this topic, so at least I could know if I am still in the game.
Thanks!! Jennifer

It's really wierd, but i dont think anyone on this bulletin board has been accepted to emory (maybe one). if i were to guess, they probably only accept a few choice people each month. i think they send out the bulk of their acceptances in march. but then again, i am only going by the fact that virtually nobody on this board who has interviewed at emory has been accepted. by the way, i interviewed there on november 9th, and have heard nothing.

hey eddie! yeah, still no word. If i don't hear by friday, I am giving up hope until March. when i interviewed they said that they interview like 700 people and accept 260 or something (not including the people they pull from the waiting list). they said they were about half way through interviews, so they had accepted about half already. it's not looking so good for us... :) hey you never told me where your first choice is. have you heard from Penn (and i can't remember the other)? i liked emory alot. i think i want to go there or tulane. unless i mysteriously get into northwestern. anyway. update me.

has anyone heard anything yet from emory this month?

No love from Emory.

If Emory rejects me without an interview this year, they will be the only school to do so two times. My for the school will turn to  (like the use of these graemlins? :) ).

If I get a rejection from them, I will post it and immediately do this: .

Ok, you get the point. Good luck, everyone.

I emailed them and found out I wasn't accepted this round. It was only the first round since my interview, but discouraging none the less. Emory is a strange school, I'm not really sure what they're looking for. I know of several people with numbers way above their averages who havent heard since their interviews in November. It just goes to show that Medschool is about more than numbers.

Sorry to hear that, Logan :( .

For those of you reading this thread who haven't interviewed with Emory yet: I called their office (They probably have the nicest and most helpful receptionists - don't read this as brown-nosing. It's 100% true...in my opinion ;) ) and was told that their last interview date is February 27 (BIG BUMMER!!!).

Anyhoo, I forgot my AAMC# and made myself look like a total arse...WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!?! :) I was told that a note that I had made an inquery would be put in my file (don't know what that means?!?). Hopefully they'll figure out I'm obsessed with them and will let me in! Why wouldn't you want a student who's absolutely in love with your school ;) .

Sorry if I have scared a few of you with my obsession. Bwa ha ha ha .
