I have decided to attend Emory--can anyone comment on the school--likes and dislikes? For some reason, I have gotten the impression that it is a very hard school--brutal curriculum. Is the dean correct when he says that Emory graduates MD's with PGY1 experience? That sounds god-awful hard to me.

That depends. A lot of your patients will be at Grady Memorial Hospital, where PGY-1's spend a significant portion of their time shuttling patients back and forth for x-rays, drawing their own labs, etc.

Hopefully he doesn't mean that kind of PGY-1 experience.
