Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has any insight with respect to English requirements at US MD schools. I know that the general requirement is 1 year of English courses, but does this strictly mean courses offered and taught by the English department? I have taken one dedicated (English) writing course at my school thus far (quarter system school), but I have also taken multiple upper-division history courses for my minor that have involved a great deal of reading and writing. I am currently a junior planning on applying in the upcoming cycle, should I attempt to take another 2 English classes in the coming quarter or should I simply make an effort on my applications to point out my experience in other humanities courses?
