Is there a English section on MCAT? If yes, what kind of english questions are asked? I mean like reading passages, writing essays etc?

Hi rockmed, head on over to www.aamc.org/mcat and browse it to have all your other basic questions about the nature of the MCAT answered.
To answer your question there is a 'verbal' section which is reading comprehension with multiple choice questions, and a 'writing sample' section where you will be given 2 prompts and you have to write 2 30-min essays.
